Kindergarten

KINDERGARTEN!!

Is it even possible that these two are now 5 years old and have entered a new phase of their lives....SCHOOL!!

They were so excited this morning, I am pretty sure I was more nervous then the both of them combined, but they did really well...Elliott shocked me and wanted me to stay for a while, I was expecting that from Ayden, but he was totally fine!! Goofy boys...but I just explained to him that his teacher, Mrs Koch, was going to start the day and that he needed to listen to what she had to say, and he was ok with that...

They both had a very fun day...they loved recess! Duh:) and they "did not go to the principal's office today!" WOOHOO:) Day 1 is a success...:) HA...we discussed with them over the last few weeks about being good boys, and good listeners and how they needed to do what their teacher asked, or they would have to go to the principal's office and she would have to talk to mommy and daddy about how they weren't behaving...and that would really disappoint mommy and daddy...so I hope this trend continues! :) wish us luck!!

So here is to new beginnings! Fun times, New friends, and amazing experiences!! I can't wait for all that is to come for them, they are going to have so much fun:) Even if it means they are growing up far too quickly...ha!

WE LOVE YOU AYDEN & ELLIOTT!!!!!!

Four

We have a new 4 year old in the house...Last Saturday, Aug 6th, our little Ashley Jo turned 4!!

It is totally amazing to me that 4 years have gone by since she joined our family, I just have no words to describe how lucky we are to have her:)

She is so smart, spunky, sassy and simply SUPER!! She is everything a little girl should be and MORE...she is strong, independent, curious, quizitive, silly and FUNNY...WE love you so much ASHLEY:)

On her actual birthday, Grandma Jane and Grandpa George, and also Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Doug, cousins Ellie, Malia and Brylie, and Uncle Andrew all came over for supper...we grilled a pork loin and had yummy sweet corn, and the birthday girl picked chocolate cupcakes for mommy to make for dessert...so we had those with some ice cream!

Thank you all for coming to help Ashley celebrate...she had so much fun:)

On Sunday, we told her she could pick a friend and they could go and get their nails done...This was her first time of being able to go to a salon and get that done, and SHE loved it!! Her friend Mallory enjoyed as well:)

Ashley, we are so proud of the wonderful 4 year old that you have become, and we are so excited to see all the wonderful and exciting things that your life will bring...we know for sure that you will do things YOUR way, with YOUR own spunk and style...we wouldn't have it any other way:)

WE LOVE YOU peanut!!

Big Boy Bed

Evan is now offically in a big boy bed! He has been climbing out of his crib for a couple months now, so we decided for safety sake we had better get him his own bed! So here he is in his new bed! We got the trundle bed that goes under Ashley's bed...it is low enough to the ground and it is a great space saver...plus eventually he will get his own bed and we can use the trundle for sleep overs! :)He is loving it and is so cute:) So no more cribs in the Schrunk house...5 and a half years of cribs in this house and now none...what a big change!!

Ashley's Dance Recital

Our little princess, Ashley Jo, had her first ballet recital on Saturday evening! She was so excited that Grandma Jane, Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Doug, Aunt Jodi and Ellie and Malia got to come watch her perform for the very first time!! She did AWESOME:) she was so excited and did just an amazing performance!! They did not allow us to video during the actual performance, but they did allow it during the rehearsal earlier in the day! So ADORABLE:) they stole the show, the audience just loved it, and Ashley was just the cutest!! We may be biased a little :)

She did two performances, the first one was the very first opener of the whole show, with the other 2 pre-ballet classes that is offered at the studio that she takes lessons at...cute as can be!!

The second performance was her actual class dance! The song is "Some Day My Prince Will Come" and it was just too adorable for words! Enjoy...

So there is her first debut as a ballerina!! We love you missy:) Congratulations beautiful ballerina!!

PS Thanks for the cute gifts that she received for her 1st recital, she was just tickled to get such adorable stuff!! We love you all and thanks for coming to share this special night with us:)

They have ditched their training wheels and are now riding around on only 2 wheels:) Dad took off the wheels on Thursday afternoon about 3 o'clock, and they did awesome that evening...it rained all day yesterday, so no practicing, but today was great, so we got out this morning and this video is of them today, like they were never on training wheels!!

We are so proud of you boys:) Way to go!!

31, new floors, 18 months, and 4 horrible days!

So, it has been a long and busy and exhausting March...sorry for the delay on blogging, but I have just been putting it off and off and off...SORRY!!

The month of March started out with a fun celebration for my 31st birthday! Honestly, I don't know how it happened that I joined the "30's" but it did, and I am enjoying everyday!! I got spoiled for my birthday...flowers, cards, a new Scentsy plug in and some scents, cookies...:) It really was a great day!! The best present was from my wonderful husband...WE bought all new flooring for our main floor...it is going to go in every place except for the kitche and bathroom, which we have already had tile put in those spots...

My birthday was on Friday the 11th...and my AWESOME parents took all 4 kiddos for the weekend, so that Chris and I could get a feel for the flooring while laying our first room...our master bedroom!! :) We were so excited to be able to concentrate on the flooring, and honestly, it was HARD work, but so worth it...IT LOOKS AMAZING!! It took us ALL day on Saturday to accomplish the task, but WE DID IT:) so awesome!!

Also, in March, Mr Evan Christopher turned 18 months!!! WOW, as much as I can't believe that I am 31, I really can't believe where 18 months went...he is such a pistol and we have so much fun with him...it just floors me though that he is closer to 2 now than he is 1...:( growing up and fast!! Our "gift" from Mr Evan this past week has been his discovery of how to climb out of his crib...he had some "helpers" to teach him what to do, and it has made for some fun nap and bedtimes...ugh! But it is apart of the process...now just need to decide on a big boy bed for him and get him transitioned...probably do that in the next couple months!! But he is a cutie when he comes out, cause he comes running up to me and has to give me a kiss!! ADORABLE:) LOVE this little guy!!

And the month ended on a HORRIBLE note for us...The good part about this whole situation is that we got the new flooring put in our living room! The bad part...Chris stepped on a nail...ugh!! We didn't think it would be such a big deal...he had gotten a tetnus shot last year, so we cleaned it and made sure it would be "ok"...yeah right...this all happened on Sunday the 20th of March...by Wednesday, his ankle had swollen up on the "punctured" foot...so off to the doctor he went...doctor gave him an oral antibiotic to help with any infection...well it didn't help...by Friday, the swelling had basically doubled in his ankle and was affecting his knee as well...so again, doctor's office, who looked at it and said, "yep, your going to the hospital"!! Are you kidding me!! So on Friday the 25th he entered the hospital, had an MRI, and started IV antibiotics to help with the infection that was spreading through him...and we waited and waited...Friday, Saturday, Sunday and MONDAY!!! the kids and I went back and forth to the hospital...Chris was miserable, it hurt bad...he was bored...all kinds of fun...and the kids were just out of sorts and drove me crazy:) HA!! :)

BUT we survived...Chris was able to come home on Monday afternoon, after they had a PIC line installed in him, and they lined up St Luke's Home Health Care to come teach us how to adminster the IV antibiotics...so that has been our week here at home, we are doing the IV stuff every 12 hours...we will be done hopefully early Tuesday morning:) I do have to say that the foot, ankle and knee are looking and feeling a lot better! The doctor's decided that they believe Chris stepped on the nail just right to go into the joint inbetween his big toe and 2nd toe, causing it to infect the joint and soft tissue...

So that was our March in nutshell...:) Here is hoping for a better April, huh?!? :) We are just thankful that Chris is on the mend and that they stopped the infection before it got too bad! We are also thankful for all of your support and prayers during this time...

So here are a few pics...I didn't take any of the foot! Sorry! LOL...trust me you didn't want to see it:)

and I will be back more regularly, as long as things settle down:) hahaha!!

Time for a change

We decided our living room needed a fresh new look. So we took our rainy day Sunday and spent the day inside, painting and putting up new curtains...it gives the room a major new look and it is awesome:)

We are so happy that we decided to do this...just makes ya feel good to change things around!
