Birthday Boys

Today is Ayden & Elliott's 4th Birthday:) wow, how time flies!! It doesn't seem like four years have gone by since they were born, it is all a blur, but a very blissful happy blur!!

They also had some checkups at the doctor the other day...Ayden is 41 pounds and Elliott is 39, and Ayden is one inch taller than Elliott!! They both look like healthy active boys who love life and love to have fun!! We are so blessed to have them in our lives and grateful for them each and everyday...I am amazed by them each and every day, and I wouldn't have it any other way!!

In many ways, twins is getting much easier, but in the same respect it is also getting HARDER!! oh the joys we have to come, we will just take each day one at a time and LOVE them every day, no matter what!!

So today before school, I got them to pose for some pics!

We LOVE you boys!! Happy 4th Birthday!!

We've got a Whopper!!

Our little pumpkin, Evan was 4 months old yesterday:) He had to go to the doctor for his checkup and shots:(

He looks excellent, a fat little thing!! He is already up to 18 pounds:) What a chunk...but an awful cute one I think, but I could be biased!!!

He is not rolling yet, he wants to and gets over to his side, but can't quite push himself over...he'll get it though, just give him some time!! He loves to be in the jumper, and he also is enjoying the exercauser now that I got it out and cleaned up for him! Such a happy boy, he loves when his brothers and sister talk to him, he laughs and giggles like they are the most hilarious people he knows! Too cute:)

Shots didn't go so well for him this time, he was pretty crabby and didn't sleep well last night, so I am hoping to get back on our routine tonight!! He is such a good baby:)

Cutie

Here is a pic of our big boy!! Look at how cute he is:)

Oh and here is the whole gang!

Our BIG mess!

So, last Monday, the kiddos and I were downstairs playing, we have moved ALL the toys down there to a TOY ROOM!! We were playing and one of the kids had to go potty, so I went to take them in to the bathroom, and there was water EVERYWHERE!! What a mess, turns out our water heater bit the big one, and we literally had water all over the place...so now we are in limbo waiting for the insurance company to decide what they will give us for the damages...we have torn up the flooring down there, and have it all dried out...plus Chris and two of his GREAT friends helped us get our new hot water heater installed!! Thank goodness, how easy to take advantage of a simple thing like turning on the hot water when you need it, that is until you CAN'T!!

so hopefully just a little bit longer until we can get things back to "normal" down there!! wish us luck!!

Christmas with G and G Schrunk

Last weekend we finally got to celebrate Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma Schrunk...although they didn't get to come when they wanted, they did get here, and got to spend some time with the kiddos! We appreciate them making the drive over to celebrate with us! Thanks for all the great stuff:)

Christmas 2009

Well, it was an eventful Christmas, to say the least! Here at the Schrunk house, we had a flurry of activity...Chris had to have surgery on his knee on Wednesday the 23rd...it was a same day surgery, so he was in and out, especially since the wonderful snow storm that hit while he was in surgery...our plans were to drive down to Grandma and Grandpa's house on Wednesday night after the surgery...Uncle Andrew and Aunt Lisa came to stay with three of the four kiddos, so we were going to follow each other back to the farm...after some contemplation, we decided to stick with our plan, Andrew drove our car with me and the kiddos on board, and Lisa drove their vehicle with Chris stretched out in the back! It took us a little longer than normal to get there but we made it in once piece and got to spend Christmas with family!!Thank you Andrew and Lisa for all of your help!! :)

On Christmas Eve day, we stayed in the house and watched it snow and snow and snow some more!!! We had heard that church had been cancelled, which ended up being false, but we didn't have the kids ready by the time we did know it was on, so we missed out, but we did venture in to town to my grandpa and grandma Lansink's house...it was a short but sweet kind of celebration! I think we were all concerned about the storm still going on outside...thankfully we had a great time with family and we were able to make it home with little troubles, but the drifts were getting pretty high on the gravel roads...

We woke up Christmas day and the storm was still a blowing! But thanks to Rudolph, Santa was able to make a stop at the house and left some presents for the kids! They are so lucky, huh?!? We left him cookies and milk and some carrots for Rudolph...turns out Santa even left a note for them and Rudolph shared the carrots with all the other reindeer! The kids LOVED this:)

Then we waited for Adam and Jodi and kids and Aaron to make their way out to continue on with festivies...so after Grandpa digging them out of a drift, they made it and we got even MORE presents!!

Then it was our turn to venture out for the Spotts' family Christmas in Sac City...we got STUCK!! about an hour later, we were out and on our way! Thanks to Grandpa and Andrew and Aaron for digging out Aaron's truck and getting us on our way!! After that awesome celebration, we headed back to the farm, this time in Grandpa's truck, and got STUCK again!! this one wasn't too bad, and we could even see the house this time! So Grandpa walked up to the house and got the tractor to dig us out AGAIN!!

So it was a GREAT Christmas...the kids got TONS of great stuff...Thank you everyone for EVERYTHING:) Chris and I got our new present for ourselves, a new laptop! we are loving it...That is why this post is coming a little late...I have been trying to figure the ins and outs of this thing, and getting the pics on the computer and everything! We are really LOVING it!!

Here are some pics from our great celebration...
