blizzard 2009 and more!

so we got a bunch of snow and wind this week...not too exciting, except that the kids loved it!! not so much for us adults, but I guess we just can't see the magic in it anymore, huh?!?!

so even though it was very cold they got to go out for a little bit and play and have some fun....

and we were supposed to go to see grandpa and grandma schrunk this weekend for Christmas with them, but they are supposed to get some not so nice freezing rain and snow, so we opted to stay safe....doesn't sound like too much fun to have 4 kids in a ditch! we are sad not to have gone, but will try to make it again soon, if the weather cooperates...so we played in the snow again today and made a snow man!!

we also did some bowling and racing on the wii this weekend...yhe boys just love it and are getting good at doing it themselves....hard to believe how independent they are becoming, but they will be 4 in January...it has been a fun weekend, not the one we had planned but it will do!

Visitors

Last weekend we had two visitors make a stop at our house...Uncle Brandon and Michelle came to stay and to celebrate and early Christmas with the kids!!

We had sooo much fun, playing, decorating cupcakes, opening presents...it was a blast!! The kids got some great stuff...John Deere stuff and a machine shed and lean to for the boys, an awesome Elmo Live for Ashley and even got his first Teddy bear and a cool John Deere blanket!!!

It was soooo wonderful for them to come and see us...they even took the kiddos out for lunch on Saturday, to give me some peace and quiet!! awesome, huh?!? I don't know who had more fun, them or the kids!!!

Thanks so much for everything Brandon and Michelle!! Love you guys lots:)

5 Weeks Later....

Soooo, SORRY:) I have not done very well at keeping you up to date on the latest happenings in the Schrunk house...time has really just kind of flown by....

So in the past 5 weeks we have had all of the kids sick with the flu, Evan was hospitalized in Influenza A for 2 nights.....so all in all that was about 2 of our five weeks taken up right there...

We also celebrated Halloween in that time...the boys were Football players and Ashley was a pink poodle...Evan was just out of the hospital so we didn't even bother dressing him up this year...He will have plenty more years to do it, just wanted him to recover quickly, so I took the kids around the neighborhood and Chris stayed home with him!

Also, I'm not going to mention any names, but a certain someone in this house celebrated his 30th birthday:) The kiddos sent him balloons to work, and we got him some Wii games for his presents...we all went out for supper, then came home and discovered Evan's fever....that was pretty much the end of the celebration right there!! Sorry honey, but I hope you had a wonderful day and we are lucky to have such a wonderful husband and daddy to be in our lives!!!

And last but certainly not least, we had Evan baptized this past weekend!! It was a wonderful celebration....we had lots of family who were able to make the trip up here, so it was great to see everyone....After the baptism, we had a lunch at our house and everyone got to enjoy a GREAT meal....Thank you to all who helped bring food, and for those who helped make the whole day possible....we are blessed and grateful to have such great family!

We have also had countless rides in the combine and tractors while "helping" Grandpa Doug harvest, and MS ASHLEY has been wearing BIG GIRL PANTIES for like 2 weeks now and has been doing AWESOME:) we are very proud of her... AHHH, to have just one kid in diapers, oh the joy:) hopefully this will continue, but I don't forsee us turning back now!! Woo HOO!!!!

SO, I will leave you with some pictures from the last few weeks, and again I promise, to try harder and do better about updating!!

The kids LOVE him!!! and when I say LOVE, I really MEAN IT!!! They are always saying my turn to hold baby Evan...never a dull moment around this house, that is for sure...
