We have 2 FIVE year olds in our house today!!!! WOW:) It is completely amazing to me how fast these five years have gone...I think that it feels like we brought them home from the hospital yesterday, and now all of a sudden, today they are 5!! It is just unexplainable...

They are having a great day so far...they have gotten a lot of calls, texts and many Happy Birthday wishes from our wonderful family and friends!! They had a great day at school...they took cupcakes for treats, Ayden wanted chocolate and Elliott wanted white!! Kind of describes them to a T...they are their own person that is for sure:) Thank you to all!!

They came home from school and had a surprise waiting for them! Balloons:) Their friends, Bailey and Mallory, had them sent over for them! So nice!! Thank you:)

Now, we are having a "rest time" considering they don't want to take naps anymore! oh, 5 year olds:) Elliott told me this morning "So, since we are 5 now Mom, we are grown up!" Oh, really!!! hmmmm, I hope for a few more years before we can call you that...And Ayden said "well, we are 5, now we can go to kindergarten!" Geez, throw it all at me, huh, boys!! Hardly seems right, but kindergarten registration is next week already!!! wow, and pretty soon it will be August and they will be heading off for full days at school...oh my!!

Well, the rest of the day should be more fun...we are planning on taking the boys for supper, where ever they choose, and just letting them celebrate being the Big 5:)

All about.....EVAN!

So, the past few posts have been all about the "big" kids...so here is one entirely about our little bubba, Evan:)

Evan is almost 16 months old already...amazing where that time goes...but anyway, he is quite the little monkey and is always in the mood for an adventure, much to my dismay!! He LOVES to climb on anything and everything, tables, couches, toyboxes, whatever, you name it, he will attempt it! and he has remarkable balance...until I take him down from the situation he has gotten himself into:)

He is a good natured boy, LOVES his big brothers and sister and they LOVE him too...he has his own ideas about things though and isn't afraid to express those ideas to his siblings, when they tend to be bossing him around! He has a little bit of stubborness in him, I do believe:) HA!

He is an excellent eater, obviously, loves to get into his chair, and he will really eat anything! He LOVES chili (random I know, but he does and it is hilarious to watch him eat it), any kind of fruit, and he has a love for OREOS (but who doesn't really!)

Evan is such a smart little guy too! He knows almost all of his body parts and can point to them on command (of course when he's in the mood, that stubborness thing again!) He loves to play with trucks and tractors and all things BOY, and he is not about to let anyone take something from him...he can hold his own:)

Yes, he loves to pull out all of my spoons and kitchen stuff out of my drawers...entertaining I guess!

Basketball video

Here are the boys playing basketball...these video's are from this morning, they both did awesome again today!! They had so much fun and just enjoyed running and playing:) Ayden scored 3 baskets and Elliott scored 6!! They are such good little basketball players!!

Playing in the snow

We got out last week and played in the snow, and attempted to make an igloo!! The kids had fun and it was great for them to get out of the house for a bit...Now if these temps would rise a little we could go out and play in ALL of the snow we got over the last few days!! woohoo...maybe even go sledding! Sounds like fun...I will be sure to post pics when we do!
Poor Evan had to stay inside:( he was bummed, but I will update about him soon, with all of his latest adventures! ha:)

Ayden & Elliott play basketball

This morning was Ayden & Elliott's first time to play on a basketball team! They were so excited. It is through the City of Sioux City and is held at the Long Lines Rec Center. They are on a team with other 4 & 5 year olds, so this proved to be very interesting! To say the least:) ha! It was great fun to watch them trying to dribble and get the ball down the court and shooting the baskets...It is definitely going to be a learning experience for all of them, but it sure is fun watching them while they learn!







I have some video too, I will try to get that uploaded here in a little while so you all can see them in action!

It was a lot of fun and the boys loved it!!

New opportunity!!

Hello!! I just wanted to take a couple minutes and write about the new opportunity that I have been given...

I have been named the Sioux City Child Care Examiner for Examiner.com :) What a great privelege and opportunity for me to get back into writing and still be able to stay home with my kids. It really is a great thing for me, I love to write and went to college to become a writer or an editor. While I have gotten a little sidetracked with my 4 amazing, wonderful blessings...I am excited to have this amazing opportunity being presented to me!!

I would love for you guys to all go and visit my site. Christmas 2010

We woke up on Christmas morning, to find out that Santa had been here to visit us! Wow, we sure were lucky:)

The kids were so excited that he came and left toys, ate his cookies, the reindeer ate their carrotts and left us a note! It was great to see their excited faces!!

We opened presents, the older kids each got a Leapster, a game to go with it, Ayden and Elliott got remote control cars that even go on the walls! and Ashley got a camera...Evan got a new tricycle and a fun new Vtech Alphabet toy...They are all loving their new stuff from Santa!! And we also got a great family gift from Santa, a Playstation 3!! It is so much fun:)

We got all cleaned up, and the kids changed into their new clothes from us, and then we made a yummy breakfast, bacon, sausage, YUM! They of course were playing with all of their stuff...we got everything cleaned up from breakfast and headed down to Grandpa Doug and Grandma Teresa's! We got to spend a little time relaxing and hanging out with G and G and Andrew and Lisa, before we headed over to Sac City for the Spotts' family Christmas...It was lots of good food, great presents and fun times! Thanks to everyone:)

On Sunday, we did our family Christmas with G and G and my siblings and their wives...we had a lot of fun and got A LOT of great things!!
