Disney on Ice

On Friday night, I surprised Ayden, Elliott and Ashley with tickets to see Disney on Ice!! Evan got to stay home with our babysitter, Kaley, while daddy was working late:(

But we had a great time out watching Minnie, Mickey, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy...and also The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch, and Peter Pan!!! It was a really good show, we had good seats, and the kids really enjoyed all of the shows, even though they have not seen 3 out of the 4 movies:)

And Evan was a good boy for Kaley, I worried about him being all by himself, because he has only been with a sitter when all the other kids have been here...but he did great and they had a fun time here at home! Here he is being goofy before we left!

Here are some pics of the kiddos enjoying our fun time!

Haircuts and Hockey

We haven't been up to much lately, just trying to stay warm now that it has gotten cooler out...although we were very lucky with getting NO snow, when areas around us got quite a bit!!

We headed out the other night to get some haircuts, and we decided it was time for Evan to get his first trim! So CUTE:) he did really well, sat on my lap and stayed very still...after that first cut though, they look so much older! :( Ashley got her hair cut shorter too:) to help even things out:) she looks cute with her little bob and YES a pony and pig tails will still work, she has so much hair!! Its just trying to convince her to let me put things in! HA...somedays she will and somedays she won't!

Grandma and Grandpa Lansink stopped up for a visit the other day and brought the kids their Halloween goodies, since we haven't seen them since before then, we hadn't gotten a chance for the kids to get their stuff! They got some yummy candy, and some CUTE jammies! Thanks G & G:) the kids think they are "comfy"!!!

Last night we took the kids to their first Musketeer Hockey game of the season! It was a lot of fun, a pretty boring game for us adults, but for the kids it was awesome:) We had a great night as a family!! It was their tribute to the Troops and Veterans last night, so we all got an American flag to hold and wave around (or throw if you are Evan!!) We got a big tub of popcorn and pop, the kids were in HEAVEN!!

And now today, we are just napping, trying to get rid of some coughs, and relaxing before our work-week begins...Meatloaf and mashed potatoes are on tap for supper, so should be yummy:) Everyone have a great week!

Weekend in KC

We decided to get away for the weekend, so we headed down to visit my aunt, uncle and cousin...Julie, Steve and Nick:) We are so glad we did, because we had such a blast visiting with them...we got some Christmas shopping done, and got to visit and have a great time with them...We got there on Friday night around 9:45...the kids were worn out, but perked up a little when we got there, so it was a little late before we got to bed, and then of course they were up early! We had some breakfast, and then Chris, Evan and I headed out to do some shopping, and the rest of the gang hung out and went and played at some playgrounds...we came back while they were eating lunch...we all snoozed a little and then when we were up and going again, we headed to Deanna Rose Farm....a great place close to their house that has animals you can pet, tons of areas to play and just a great family place to be! The kids had so much fun feeding the goats and watching the ducks and fish, the cows, the pigs, the horses, etc, etc, etc!!! It was really a great place to hang out...
After that, we went to a playground area and got to let the kids play and swing...then we headed back, grilled burgers and hot dogs, made some chocolate chip cookies...gave kids baths and then watched a Scooby Doo movie:) Then Nick read the kids a story "The Littlest Pumpkin" and then they headed to BED!
We headed home on Sunday morning, to be home in plenty of time for trick or treating:) Thanks so much Julie, Steve and Nick for letting us come and visit and all of the fun times you showed us!! WE had a BLAST:)

Swimming Lessons

We finished up with swimming lessons last night for the year. The program is a year-long thing, but since it is getting colder we have chosen to take a break until spring. The kids have come so far in the 3 months that they have been doing them. I took some videos of them last night to share with you...Enjoy:)
