Outside Fun

We have been able to get OUTSIDE!! WOOHOO:) this weather is great...it makes me wonder why we don't move somewhere WARM for a year round version of this!! :)

Anyway, Chris got the boys' Gator put together and they have been driving all over the place...and LOVING it!! Ashley has had her turn too and while isn't quite as good of a driver as the boys, she is a quick learner and is figuring it out awful quick...before we know it they will be 16 and want a real car! YIKES!!!

As for Evan, he has become a roller!! And has become quite good at it:) He is just too awful darn cute...he is loving his veggies and fruit, and as soon as we get some teeth in that mouth, I am sure he will love the new adventures of Cheerios and puffs and all that other good stuff!!

We went on Sunday to Grandpa and Grandma Lansink's to spend some time with them and our cousins and to visit the Great Grandparents...Chris had to work, so the kids and I headed out for a fun day, and we even got to feed a new baby calf!! Lots of fun...we also got to bring home the kids' Easter baskets full of goodies from G & G!!! Thank you soooo much:) the kiddos are loving everything inside, chalk, play doh, jammies, notebooks, stickers, books and CANDY:)

We are looking forward to more wonderful days outside this week and to see what the Easter bunny brings:) Hope everyone has a very Happy Easter!!

Earrings and Sitting

So, we are kinda boring lately!! Sorry:) Not much has been happening....except...

Evan is Sitting now:) He is such a big boy...he has been doing this pretty well for the last week or so, but I just haven't gotten around to blogging about it!

And last week Ashley Jo got her ears pierced!!! what a big girl:) She picked out pretty pink flower earrings and sat really well so that they could put them in!! Only cried for a few seconds, and then they gave her a sucker so it was all better! HA:)

And we had a birthday party at the Play All Day place, so that was fun for the kids to go and jump around again...Thank goodness the weather is starting to cooperate again and we have been able to get outside to play!! It has been SOOO nice:) woohoo!!

But other than that...not much to report! Here are some pics to hold you over until our next adventure:)

the big 3-0

Well, it happened!! I had my birthday last week...the big 3-0!! woohoo:) Thank you to all for your calls, cards, messages!! it was great to hear from so many wishing me a happy birthday!! and I had just that...a very wonderful birthday!

I started out the morning having the kids sing to me:) it was really sweet!! and it was a special day for the boys at school too, because they got to wear their pajamas to school!! How fun:) They had a blast with that!!

All day long, the kids kept telling me happy birthday, so it was really nice, and then when daddy got home we all went out for supper at the Olive Garden! so yummy!! We all really enjoyed it and the kids were really good! woohoo:) Chris and the kids got me a gift card to Barnes and Noble, and I look forward to going to pick out some new reading material!!! YEAH:)

It was just a great way to enter my 30's:) My 20's were amazing, so I can only imagine what will happen now, and I can't wait to find out!!

This weekend, the kids and I decided to try "Play All Day"...a place over in Singing Hills with blowup toys to bounce in and play on, they had SO MUCH FUN!!! It was great, and it really wore off some of that energy:) It was a special fun treat for us to do, especially since this winter has been so long and hard on all of us!! Come on spring, WE want to play outside, and go for walks, and go to the park!! We are ready:)

The weekend

We had visitors this weekend...Grandma Jane and Grandpa George drove over on Friday to spend the weekend with us! The kids had a blast, it had been a while since we had gotten to visit with them, so it was great for the kids to play and have fun with them...

On Friday night, I went to volunteer at our church's Famous fish fry! We served about 880 people that night! very very busy...the kids stayed with Chris and Grandma and Grandpa and had a good time playing...

On Saturday we went for lunch at Minerva's to help Great Grandma Alice celebrate her 80th birthday:) We had such a good time, the food was good, and it was nice to be able to see some family members that we haven't gotten to see in a long time! I also got a wonderful surprise dessert since I will be celebrating a birthday this week:) It was yummy and the kids really liked it too!!

Also on Saturday night, the kids surprised me with a yummy Cold Stone ice cream cake...so good and yummy! Now just need to wait for the big day, only a few days left of my 20's now...they have been great, so I am anxious to see what 30 brings:)

Messy faces

We have some messy kids around here:) We had spaghetti the other night, and this is what they looked like!





Sorry, Elliott had already cleaned his face, but still wanted in the pic with messy boy Ayden, and well Evan didn't get to have spaghetti yet, but he did have sweet potatoes! He didn't really care for them at first, but since then he has loved them!! And Ashley, well what can you say...that girl is silly!
