Memorial Day weekend

We had a relaxing Memorial Day weekend...nothing too big or exciting:) Grandpa George and Grandma Jane came on Saturday morning, so that Grandpa could work on the boys' new room, get some more things accomplished, hopefully we are moving in the right direction and now it is just a matter of time before they will have their new Lightning McQueen Room:) Thanks Grandpa and Grandma...

While Grandpa was busy working, we spent lots of time outside playing and we even went to the park...they got to go all 3 days :) they were very happy about that...

Yesterday on Memorial Day, Chris had to work, so Grandpa Doug and Grandma Teresa came up to visit...we had lunch, Played at the park, and then got to have ice cream cones from Dairy Queen!! YUMMY:) Thanks for coming and spending the afternoon with us....

Now, today is a big day, cause it is Ashley's 1st day in big girl underwear!!! it is going like a 1st day normally would, but she loves having them on and she thinks that she is pretty big stuff...I think she will get the hang of it soon, right now she tells me right AFTER she goes!!! oh well, this is only day 1:) the timing will work itself out:)

Trip to Illinois!

We went to visit Grandpa and Grandma Schrunk this past weekend in Illinois, we left Friday night and headed over...we got a new DVD player installed in our Expedition, so it made for a nice evening of traveling...we watched Madagascar 2, Ice Age and Cars...all in one trip:)

On Satuday we got to hang out in the morning with G & G, and uncle Jamie and aunt Carolynne came to play...then lunch and naps, then Chris and I had a surprise birthday party to go to for one of his good friends from high school...he turned the big 3-0!!!!!!! We headed up to Wisconsin for the party with good friends TJ & Mo and Tony and Stacy...it was a nice ride, except for the car sickness, RIGHT MO!!!!

We had a great time at the party, Cory was VERY surprised and we all had a great time...his wife Sarah is due like 3 weeks after me, so we got to compare notes on pregnancy:) and it was just good to visit with them:)

After that party, we hopped over to another!!! YES, I know 2 in ONE NIGHT:) it was like we were in college again:) so anyway, TJ and Stacy's sister Cindy is moving to some foreign land they call Montana!! so they were having a going away party for her at another establishment...we got to enjoy some "good" Karoke...and then it was on back to the Schrunk house....

The kids got to play with G & G all night and had a VERY fun time!!! they got to watch BOLT and play and just all in all have a very good time!! Thanks George and Jane for watching them, I know they had a great time with you guys:)

On Sunday, we called an "old Friend" Ms. Sarah and met her for lunch before heading out of town...I think the boys really "liked" her!!! but don't we all!!! so thanks Sarah for sharing your lunch with the boys and having a fun visit with us:)

Then on to home to start another week!!!!!!

Also this weekend, my sister-in-law, Lisa Lansink, became Dr. Lisa Lansink:) WHOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she graduated from optometry school in Chicago...sounds like the weekend was lots of fun and we are very very proud of you!!! Congratuations:)

Half way there....

Yes, it is true:) I am 20 weeks now and half way done with this pregnancy!!! our little baby will be here in NO time!! it is amazing how fast it goes really!! anyway, sorry to not have posted Mother's day stuff yet, I haven't been feeling the greatest! I woke up on Monday morning, and the room was spinning, when I was able to get up I was really weak and wobbly, so I thought maybe I needed something to eat....so I ate a banana and had some juice...long story short, that wasn't the problem, you can guess what happened!!! so anyway, I was still uneasy and wobbly so I called the dr and went up...they think it is an inner ear imbalance, probably from any type of virus that has fun around my house in the last couple of weeks....yesterday was the first day I felt really normal and today is even better, so I am hoping that it is passing!!!! that is horrible when the room spins, I never want to feel like that again!!!!!!!!!!

So anyway, that appt. counted since I was supposed to go next week for my check-up, baby sounded great and even better NO weight gain!! I don't know how, because I have been eating NON STOP!!! oh well, I will take it:) we did set up another ultrasound for June 11!! but sorry all who want to know, Chris is the only one who will know the sex of the baby, I am going to be surprised and so is everyone else!! enjoy the suspense:)

So anyway, Mother's day was great!! except Chris had to work all weekend:(
but on Saturday night him and the kids took me to the Outback for supper, it was fun, but the food really wasn't that great and the service wasn't any better...we never have good experiences there anymore, I tell ya...My first choice was Olive Garden but it was an HOUR wait and with 3 kids that is NOT an option anymore:) but we all had fun together and it was nice to get out of the house for the evening...

On Sunday, the kids and I drove down to G & G Lansink's to go out for brunch with them and the aunt, uncles and cousins:) we had really good food and lots of fun...back to G & G's for a nap and then it was tractor rides for all (except me who got to keep sleeping! it was great! thanks mom and dad:) then time to head to the Great Grandparents for some visiting and then on to home...it was a late night but very very fun:)

The weekend

Well, another weekend has come and gone, with a busy weekend on tap, it was nice to get some good weather to go along with our fun...

On Saturday we went to Omaha to visit a good college friend of ours Mark and his family, they were back in Omaha for the weekend before being stationed in HAWAII with his Navy career...we haven't seen Mark in like 4 years, so it was soooo nice to visit with him and see his kids, we had lots of fun. Also while in Omaha, we made a trip to Nebraska Furn. Mart to do some bedroom shopping for the kids!! We are happy to report that the boys are going to have bunk beds!! (and yes they are already "debating" who will have the top bunk) and Ashley has her very own big girl bed!!! WooHOO!!! they are very pleased and excited to have these new items, which should arrive here in June and we will be able to get all situated once the new bedroom is complete!!

On Sunday, I was supposed to go and see my neice Ellie in her dance recital, but we have all been fighting a cough/cold/runny nose thing...we actually were supposed to go see neice's Grace, Leah & Anna also have a dance recital too, but due to the colds opted to stay closer to home... but on Sunday I ended up with a headache and opted to stay home and sleep it off...we are sorry to have missed everyone's recitals and hope you all had lots of fun and we know you did a great job:) after a good LONG nap for EVERYONE!!! we headed outside, where the boys wanted to learn how to ride their new BIG BOY BIKES!!! they are doing very well, they both keep saying they can't wait to show Grandmas and Grandpas how good they are, so hopefully you will all get to see them ride soon...but for now here are the pics of the little munchkins:)
