60th Anniversary

It was Chris' grandparents, Mike and Alice Kelly's 60th wedding anniversary this year, so to celebrate we all gathered today at the bowling alley in Pender, NE that his aunt Julie owns....we had a great meal and the kids LOVED playing with their cousins and BOWLING for the 1st time ever!! They actually did pretty well, and they loved it:) it was a great time and a great celebration!!

Also my grandparents Bernard and Leila Lansink celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary!! We got to spend Thanksgiving Day with them:) What a wonderful accomplishment!!

5 Weeks Later....

Soooo, SORRY:) I have not done very well at keeping you up to date on the latest happenings in the Schrunk house...time has really just kind of flown by....

So in the past 5 weeks we have had all of the kids sick with the flu, Evan was hospitalized in Influenza A for 2 nights.....so all in all that was about 2 of our five weeks taken up right there...

We also celebrated Halloween in that time...the boys were Football players and Ashley was a pink poodle...Evan was just out of the hospital so we didn't even bother dressing him up this year...He will have plenty more years to do it, just wanted him to recover quickly, so I took the kids around the neighborhood and Chris stayed home with him!

Also, I'm not going to mention any names, but a certain someone in this house celebrated his 30th birthday:) The kiddos sent him balloons to work, and we got him some Wii games for his presents...we all went out for supper, then came home and discovered Evan's fever....that was pretty much the end of the celebration right there!! Sorry honey, but I hope you had a wonderful day and we are lucky to have such a wonderful husband and daddy to be in our lives!!!

And last but certainly not least, we had Evan baptized this past weekend!! It was a wonderful celebration....we had lots of family who were able to make the trip up here, so it was great to see everyone....After the baptism, we had a lunch at our house and everyone got to enjoy a GREAT meal....Thank you to all who helped bring food, and for those who helped make the whole day possible....we are blessed and grateful to have such great family!

We have also had countless rides in the combine and tractors while "helping" Grandpa Doug harvest, and MS ASHLEY has been wearing BIG GIRL PANTIES for like 2 weeks now and has been doing AWESOME:) we are very proud of her... AHHH, to have just one kid in diapers, oh the joy:) hopefully this will continue, but I don't forsee us turning back now!! Woo HOO!!!!

SO, I will leave you with some pictures from the last few weeks, and again I promise, to try harder and do better about updating!!
