Family

This past weekend, my grandparents, Robert & Kathy Spotts, celebrated 50 years of marriage....to celebrate, my mom & her sisters put together a big weekend full of fun and family!!! We started on Saturday with family pictures...getting everybody to stand still was a bit of a challenge, but I think we got some good shots, so hopefully some will turn out!!! then we hung out and my mom and dad's until the evening and then Chris and I got to drop the kids off with my brother Adam & his wife Jodi and their kids Ellie & Malia for a fun evening playing on the swing set...Chris and I went to a couples shower for my cousin Chris & his soon to be wife Melanie...it was fun for us to get a way for a while, and I know the kids had sooooo much fun playing with their cousins:)

On Sunday we went to Grandpa and Grandma's church for a special service, and then had a fellowship hour honoring them afterwards...then we played at Adam & Jodi's again until it was time for the BIG celebration....we had soooo much good food and watched a great slide show of all the pictures from the past...My brother Aaron did such a good job with putting it all together for everyone entertainment:) after all was said and done we decided to go back to mom and dad's to hang out some more with my brother Andrew and his wife Lisa, since they live in Chicago and we don't get to see them that much....the boys love playing with them!!!! always a good time...we are looking forward to coming to see you soon~~~~you better start saving up your energy now!!!:)

All-in-all it was a great weekend and we got to hang out with family and just enjoy each other companies...

A big thank you to my mom Teresa, and her sisters Tammy, Julie, Janna & Stacey who put on the fun weekend...we had a great time!!! Thanks a bunch:)

Just playin'

Last night we went and got hair cuts for the boys and Chris...we are getting ready for a big weekend, my grandpa and grandma Spotts are celebrating their 50th anniversary so we are having family pics and a big party for them...so we need to look our best:) Tonight we just were hanging out and the boys were being daredevils on the swing set...I swear they have no fear of anything!!!! Other than that we haven't been up to a whole lot, but with this busy weekend coming up, I will be sure to have plenty to blog about!!! Here are pics of the boys swinging and Ashley Jo thinks she needs a purse already, and a pic of her walking outside...what a big girl:)

Happy Father's Day!

We decided to beat the crowds and celebrate our Father's Day out last night...Chris got to pick, considering he is the father:) He decided on Red Robin...it was really yummy and the kids had a great time...I think tomorrow we are just going to bum around and relax...make a big breakfast and enjoy the day with the munchkins!!!

Weekend

Hello:) not much going on around the Schrunk house this weekend...Chris had to work so the kids and I just hung out around the house and played...Ashley is becoming quite a good little walker, Like I said, it would just be a matter of time and she would walk across the room, well she walked from the TV to me on the couch with the biggest smile on her face...she is quite a little character:) she has also started saying some words...she says no,no and can shake her head and she also can say Elliott!!!! I know, I would think Ayden would be easier but Elliott comes out plan as day...it wouldn't be that I am saying NO NO to Elliott all day long that she would pick up on those two words first, huh????!!!! just kidding:) we are working on Ayden with her and she tries to say it but it doesn't come out quite as clearly as Elliott does...but again give her a little time and she will be saying Ayden clearly too:) you can't tell that she adores her big brothers or anything, huh?? The boys are just, well, BUSY...always into something and figuring things out, they don't miss a darn thing, they can tell when a lawn mower starts up like 5 houses down!!! but it is amazing how they don't "hear" me when I am asking them to do something...hmmm....selective hearing, like their father:) haha!!!!

well here are some pics of Ms Jo Jo sleeping in her high chair this week, and also these cool fruit snacks that I found at Hy Vee...I haven't seen them before, but when I saw them yesterday I kenw the boys would love them, and sure enough they love their John Deere tractor snacks...they go crazy for tractors!!!! I thought they were cute anyway:)

It was great here in Sioux City last night, so we took full advantage and played outside...Here are the kids having some fun:)

Hello:) Sorry to have not updated in a while...We have been super busy around here...last weekend we went for a BBQ at Grandma & Grandpa Lansink's and got to play with our cousins Ellie & Malia:) it was super fun!!! and then on Memorial day we just hung out at home...the rest of the week just really flew by with watching kids and getting the basement ready...George and Jane (G&G Schrunk) came on Thursday to help Chris get the new ceiling & lights in our basement!!! it looks really really good!!! just have to do some finishing touches to the ceiling and it will be as good as new:) G & G Schrunk also managed to get in some play time with the kids, which was much appreciated by them:)

Also...BIG news for Ashley Jo...she has been venturing out on her own to take some steps...she started on Thursday and took 3 steps and everyday since then has been a few at a time...still a little wobbly but I am sure it won't be much longer and she will take off on her way across the room!!! oh my!!!
